VendoSwiss S-Mat spiral dispenser in a workshop

The S-Mat spiral dispenser is a versatile all-rounder for modern, secure and efficient material supply. It is ideal for issuing safety equipment, consumables or production supplies and guarantees reliable 24/7 availability of important items.

Efficiency and economy

The S-Mat saves space and time and lowers labour and administrative costs through greater efficiency. Maintenance is economical and spare parts are easy to obtain. Thanks to an integrated uninterruptible power supply, the dispenser is ready for use around the clock.

Design

The housing is a welded frame construction with panelling and Vivak protective door surfaces, rated IP44 / IK05. The surface is textured and powder-coated, with a configurable colour. The dispenser is operated via a 10.1-inch colour touchscreen on the right-hand side of the machine.

Inside there are six perforated, pull-out shelves as standard, expandable to seven. Products can be separated with dividers, and dispensing takes place via electric 24V geared motors or dispensing spirals. Label rails on the front of the shelves keep everything clearly organised, and an energy-saving cold-light LED panel provides bright illumination.

Security and control

A card reader identifies users, while individual permissions and withdrawal limits govern access. A concealed electromechanical lock secures the access door and a dedicated security lock the service door. An optional horizontal airlock door separates the dispensing pocket from the shelf area, protecting against theft. All stock movements are logged, and the current inventory can also be accessed over the network.

Return unit

The standalone return unit can be combined with the S-Mat and operated via its touchscreen. It enables the safe, environmentally conscious and space-saving return of consumables right where they are used. The return process is monitored by optoelectronic sensors. Because a new withdrawal depends on the worn product being returned, the result is effective control, transparency throughout the service-life cycle and accurate wear statistics. A swing door makes it easy to return bulky items. The return unit is not included in the machine price but is available separately as a standalone unit (from CHF 4’990).

Control and connectivity

Control runs on software specially matched to the machines, with a user-friendly, multilingual interface. Stock management is handled on a separate networked computer. A LAN network is required for installation and operation, and power is supplied via a 230 V mains connection.

Frequently asked questions

How does the spiral dispenser issue products?

Electric 24 V geared motors and dispensing spirals issue each product individually and under control. Inside, up to seven perforated, pull-out shelves are available.

How does the return unit work?

The return unit is a standalone, combinable unit and, when attached, is operated via the S-Mat touchscreen. Used consumables are returned right at the point of use. Optoelectronic sensors monitor the return, and a new withdrawal is only possible once the worn product has been returned. This produces precise statistics on service life and wear.

Is the machine available during a power cut?

Yes. An integrated uninterruptible power supply (UPS) keeps the S-Mat ready around the clock, even during a power failure.

How is access controlled?

A card reader identifies users, and individual permissions and withdrawal limits control who may take which materials. Every storage and retrieval is logged.

How much can the spiral dispenser hold?

Up to seven internal shelves of 742 × 595 mm carry 60 kg each, 420 kg in total. Products can be separated by dividers and dispensed via spirals, segments or drawers.

Can the S-Mat be combined with a locker?

Yes. A connected locker for protective equipment or tools is controlled directly via the spiral dispenser's touchscreen.
