Return Unit

Controlled return of used items with complete wear statistics

The return unit takes worn consumables and tools back directly at the point of use. Because a new withdrawal is tied to returning the used item, you gain full control, transparency across the service-life cycle and precise wear statistics.

VendoSwiss return unit for used items

The return unit extends material dispensing with a controlled return process. Worn consumables and tools are returned directly at the point of use, securely, sustainably and in a space-saving way. This closes the loop between dispensing and return into a fully documented process.

How it works

The return is camera-assisted and works with a drop-detection sensor. Opto-electronic sensors monitor the entire return process and make sure every return is reliably captured. A swing door makes it easier to return larger and bulky items.

Control and transparency

Withdrawing new products is tied to returning the worn items. This creates effective control, transparency across the service-life cycle and precise statistics on service life and wear. You keep consumption and the condition of your wear parts in view at all times.

Combination

The return unit is a standalone device and can be operated separately when needed. Combined with the VendoSwiss machines such as the S-Mat spiral dispenser, it is operated via their touchscreen, so dispensing and return run through one system, logged and traceable.

Frequently asked questions

What does the return unit do?

The return unit takes worn consumables and tools back directly at the point of use. It enables a secure, environmentally conscious and space-saving return with complete documentation.

How is the return monitored?

The return is camera-assisted and uses a drop-detection sensor. Opto-electronic sensors monitor the entire return process, so every return is reliably captured and documented.

Why is withdrawal tied to the return?

A new withdrawal is only possible after the worn product has been returned. This keeps consumption under control and produces transparency across the service-life cycle as well as precise wear statistics.

What analysis does the return unit provide?

The captured returns produce accurate statistics on service life and wear. This gives full transparency over the lifecycle of the items and supports effective control.

Is the return unit standalone or part of the spiral dispenser?

The return unit is a standalone unit and can be purchased separately. It combines with the VendoSwiss machines such as the S-Mat spiral dispenser and is then operated via their touchscreen, so dispensing and return form a single closed loop.

Can bulky items be returned as well?

Yes. A swing door makes it easy to return larger and bulky items without interrupting the controlled return process.

Is this the right system for your operation?

We advise you on configuration, integration and commissioning.
